Snap, Crackle, Pop: Our Culture

Living phoneless, movieless, or without social media is virtually impossible today. I know every free second I get between school and work I spend watching movies and TV shows, scrolling through my Snapchat stories or Instagram, or talking about the "next big thing". Anyone can be famous, anyone can do anything, whether it be make-up tutorials, review books and music, or just be freaking hilarious on social media.

Our culture, the end of the Millennial's, the "Like" Generation, is something new. We've heard our whole lives that we are "entitled". That most of us won't have jobs after college. But today, what you like to do can become a CAREER. People get paid for how many Youtube views and subscribers they have. Post a review of a product, you get sent a ton of swag. Anything is possible- it's the resurgence of the American Dream in the digital age.

So this blog is about culture. Our culture, which is pop culture. Movies, musicals, and make-up tutorials (oh my). Fandoms and celebrities. Everything that makes OUR culture in OUR generation snap, crackle, and pop with potential and excitement.

Welcome to the new American Dream that we are all apart of every time we pick up our phone, go to the movies, or just create and add to this world we live in.
