Some of the best movies of the year are out this month. From Doctor Strange to Hacksaw Ridge, if these movies are in a theater near you, you've got to see them.

Doctor Strange

Rating: PG-13

The newest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been out for nearly two weeks and does not disappoint. Benedict Cumberbatch stars as Stephen Strange, a brilliant neurosurgeon that looks for help in a foreign country to repair damage done to his hands. This Harry Potter meets Inception film blows your mind, and the phenomenal cast and script make this movie a definite must see.

Arrival

Rating: PG-13

Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner star in a film even Rotten Tomatoes gave a 93%. In case you're wondering, Rotten Tomatoes never scores any movie that high. Scientists must race to understand alien languages when 12 spaceships land on earth in order to prevent a global war.

Fantastic Beats and Where to Find Them

Rating: PG-13

Out this Friday, come back to the wizarding world with this new installment in the Harry Potter franchise, this time taking place in New York City. This takes place 70 years before the Dark Lord and Harry Potter come to play, giving us an even greater insight to everything that is the world of Potter. Get your tickets now!!!

Inferno

Rating: PG-13

The third installment in the Da Vinci Code franchise is out and Tom Hanks is back! A definite must see for fans of the franchise, Robert Langdon has amnesia and is in a race to recover his memories or the world will face mass genocide.

Trolls

Rating: PG

A family friendly movie everyone can see, Trolls is the musical extravaganza sweeping the nation! The happiest troll ever born (Anna Kendrick) pairs up with the most worry warted troll (Justin Timberlake) in an enjoyable film for the whole family.

Hacksaw Ridge

Rating: R

This is the story of Desmond Doss, a real life war veteran and a conscientious objector (one who does not believe in violence or the taking of life), who joins the war effort despite his religious and personal objections. He goes to war to be a combat medic, and the depiction of his struggle to say true to his beliefs as well as his reliance on God and personal integrity are heartwarming and awe inspiring.

For those of you who for some reason or another avoid rated R films, note that there was not a single F word, sex scene, and the swearing was PG worthy. The rating is for the realistic depiction of war violence during WWII, but similar to Saving Private Ryan, it is important to realize as a general public the realities and horrors that are war.

The Accountant and Magnificent Seven are also two must see's, but seeing how I've done extensive movies reviews of both, they're not included on this list.

Get your tickets, sneak in some movie candy, and go see these amazing films ASAP!
