HALLOWEEN IS ALMOST HERE! Honestly, I am stoked for this whole month, and I will not take down my decorations until Christmas. SO, since Halloween is creeping around the corner, here are 20 of the best movies and television episodes to get you in the spooky spirit.

1. Halloween Town, 1, 2, 3, and 4.

If you're a millennial, there is hardly any way you missed Halloween town growing up. This and Twitches and every Disney Channel show putting out Halloween episodes (especially Even Stephens, Phil of the Future, Wizards of Waverly Place, That's So Raven, and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody's iconic ones) were the best part of October.

And if you have cable, they are showing this 24/7 on Disney. You're welcome.

2. The Haunted Mansion

This was the most terrifying movie of my childhood because those ZOMBIES! Just ask my little sister, she hated that. But this was Eddie Murphy in one of my favorite roles, so highly, highly, highly recommended.

3. Edward Scissorhands

This movie is freaking amazing, and heart racing, and it also freaked my little sister out of her mind growing up, so definitely a Halloween movie. You're welcome for the memories, Janessa.

4. Hocus Pocus

If you're not watching this movie for Halloween, then we can't be friends.

Seriously, this is a Halloweed NEED at the highest degree. Watch and be Halloweenly-edified.

5. Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Season 1 Episode 6 was the beginning of the Halloween War in the 99th Precinct. With Andy Samberg being all the gloroiusness that is himself, not only do I recommend this show at all times, but especially the Halloween episodes.

Episodes: S1E6, S2E4, S3E5

6. The Nightmare Before Christmas

I know, I know, this is a given. But if I didn't have it, maybe you wouldn't have thought of it? Right? Right.

7. Scream Queens

So this show is kind of awesome. It is by the same creators of American Horror Story and Glee, Lea Michelle is in it, you get to stare at Nick Jonas, and it is about a serial killer killing sorority girls. What isn't to like?

8. Corpse Bride

Honestly, this list is mostly just Tim Burton films on this list. Not my favorite movie of all time since Im not nuts about claymation, but real good film!

9. Beetlejuice

Burton #4 on this list. Classic movie right here, and even the previews of it freaked me out as a kid. Probably why my mom didn't allow me to watch it growing up, honestly.

10. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Whopping Burton #5. Wowzers.

Fun fact: this was the first rated-R movie I ever watched. Me, my best friend, and little sister thought this looked super metal and scary, so we put it on....and I was ecstatic when I found out it wasn't just a musical, but an AMAZING Stephen Sondheim musical with intense depth and characterization, that it is based on two different serial killers and events in London, as well as Snape and Peter Pettigrew staring in it. What's not to love?

Also, this is on Netflix

11. Woman in Black

This movie scared me more than I have ever been scared in my entire life. I cried, I peed, and I couldn't look out of the corner of my eye for weeks. I literally had my blinds drawn and blankets over my mirrors for a week after watching this. Terrifying, super well done, and if you haven't seen it a million times already to the point where it isn't scary anymore, then I recommend it for your Halloween prepping.

12. Insidious 1, 2, and 3

These movies progressively get scarier and scarier. And I can't get over how Raul from Phantom of the Opera has become the King of Horror Movies since 2005.

13. The Conjuring

Raul once again freaking me out with his terrifying films. I definitely lost my mind in this one.

Followed closely by Annabelle.

14. American Horror Story

One of the best and most suspenseful shows on television, people can't get enough of AHS and American Horror Story: Hotel year round, so might as well bingewatch the series this October to get into the Halloween spirit.

That and Stranger Things.

15. Crimson Peak

I will recommend this movie on every list for the rest of my life, because it is amazing. It has ghosts. It has blood. It has betrayal. And most importantly, it has Loki. I give you Crimson Peak, the best movie from 2015 (besides Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man).

16. Disney's House of Villains

I never got to see this until I was in college because I was babysitting my bosses kids, but this is actually super entertaining, and a very nice break from all the horror movies you'll be watching in Halloween prep.

Also, it's on Netflix, so there it is.

17. Harry Potter's

Here's the thing about Harry Potter- it is everything you would want Halloween to be always. You got witches, ghosts, werewolves (especially in the 3rd movie), wizards, potions, spells, unicorns, Voldemort, Fluffy.... seriously, if you want to have some serious Halloween feels, this is a must. And it plays on Freeform (previously ABD Family) all the freaking time.

18. Scooby-Doo

Scooby Doobie Doo, thank you for a wonderful childhood, and your spooky episodes that totally work for Halloween. And I'm about 98% sure that you're still a good show to watch for this article, so thanks.

19. Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown

You're not a true American if you haven't seen this movie, so grab some popcorn and candy, flip on Freeform, and watch this classic to bring you back to your inner child that loved Halloween more than your Birthday and Christmas combined.

20. Monster House

This is the only Halloween movie I own ( I know, I'm pitiful, but my family needed to keep SOME movies in their library when I moved out.) So I've been watching this bad boy to get into the Halloween spirit, and honestly, it's still worth your time. Have at it.

That concludes our super spooky and totally fantastic list of Halloween themed greatness. Remember, be safe, have a rocking costume, and eat more candy than your pants will let you.

Keep on creeping on, and see you next time!

Honorable Mentions: Goosebumps, every episode of Vampire Diaries, Poltergeist, Casper.
